Project Description

Prior to taking office Joanna was a teacher in the state schools system. Her background has made her a staunch advocate of education, training and employment opportunities for all.

Joanna is the great-niece of the late, Senator Neville Bonner AO, the first Indigenous Australian to sit in any Parliament. She is proud to follow in his footsteps and be the first Queensland LNP Indigenous woman in the Senate.
